## Overview

The Feedback content type lets you collect customer satisfaction ratings on specific areas of your service, from online experience to on-site amenities.

It appears as a pop-up widget on the platform, making it one of the first things users see when they open the app and therefore giving you a great opportunity to capture feedback quickly.

Users are presented with a simple question and can respond using a five-point scale, allowing them to rate their experience with just a tap.

Users can select “Maybe Later” in the web platform to hide the widget for 24 hours, or “Dismiss” on web and app to hide it for the duration set in the Content Management System.

Once a user submits a rating, they are given the opportunity to provide an anonymous comment. This is optional.

While there’s no limit to the number of Feedback questions you can run, we recommend keeping this to a minimum to avoid feedback fatigue or overwhelming users with pop-ups. As a guide, aim for no more than one or two per month.

If multiple Feedback questions are live, they will be queued based on publish date and shown one at a time once the user answers one, and then navigates to a new page.

Responses can be viewed in the Analytics Dashboards.

> ⚠️ NPS & Feedback questions **cannot** be segmented to specific user audiences.

## How to create a Feedback pop-up

Open Iris, the Content Management System.

**Complete the fields as per the below:**

- **Title** - this is for internal reference only, and will not be seen by the end user. We recommend using the question itself, as this will appear in Analytics.
- **Format **- Select Feedback to create a new question. A reminder will appear advising you to limit the number of active questions.

- **Question** - Enter your question
- **Unsatisfied / Satisfied Label** - Defaults to “Extremely Unsatisfied” and “Extremely Satisfied”, but can be customised.
- **Accent Colour** - Defaults to your site’s primary colour. You can override this using RGB, HSL or HEX values.
- **Ask the user again after ** - choose the frequency you want the widget to reappear to the user. Feedback questions are designed to capture one-off feedback, so we recommend using the **Don’t ask again** option here.
 - **Don't ask again: **The user will never be shown it again
 - **6 months: **The user will be shown it again 6 months after they first interacted with it
 - **12 months: **The user will be shown it again 12 months after they first interacted with it

Hit **Save** and you will be taken to the review page. Tick the relevant box under the **Sites** section on the bottom right-hand corner, to choose which site the content will appear on.

Click **Save** at the top left to apply any changes you've made.

Once you have finished your Feedback question, change the status from ‘Draft’ to ‘Published’ in the top right-hand corner of the page.

> ✅ Head to the front end of your web platform or app to see the feedback pop-up from an end-user perspective
